Yamaha MT-01 2005

Picked the bike up last Friday & felt like a kid in a lolly shop. I've owned many bikes but have never had the great feeling I have to finally receive my MT-01 after placing my order over 1 year ago. It is like nothing I have ever ridden before. The torque can't be described & it's handling is impeccable. Throw in a very comfortable riding position & looks that stop people dead in their tracks and I believe i've found a real keeper!

Pro: Everything about the bike is great, It seems well engineered & the level of finish is to a standard I'd never expect from a Japanese bike. It's power is very very addictive even in standard trim & will test the limits of most riders. - A great bike - Highly reccommended.

Contra: Poor headlight penetration - Brakes are great but would have liked to see braided lines as standard - Zero luggage capacity - Pillions stay away - Huge price of Yamaha stage 3 performance kit $10K AUS ouch, but I'll still buy it. Seems a lot of work to fit a rear fender eliminator kit, but I'll work it out! - If this is all that's not right, then buy the bloody bike!!! You'll love it.
