When I first rode the R1100RT it was a bit like going to dinner with an old friend who had suddenly learned to use a knife and fork. The comparison between Ruth (the R1100RT) with Bucephalas (my old R100RS) is certainly analogous. The RT is very much like the RS with twenty odd years of development and a lot more style, but there again Beemers seem to be loved or hated depending on whether you have any common sense or not. The areas that may have detracted from the overall package of the RS seem to have been addressed by the RT. History for once was proved wrong.
